Northshore defeats FHS

After having their six-game winning streak snapped, Northshore’s Panthers rebounded with a 52-48 victory over the Fontainebleau Lady Bulldogs in Tuesday’s district game at NHS. The Lady Panthers (22-7) are 7-4. Tory Hearn led Northshore with 16 points, while Haley Haddad registered 15.

FHS (13-17) fell to 3-8 in district action. FHS’ Jennifer Beehler led the Lady Dawgs with 17 points along with six rebounds, four steals and two assists. Rebekah Crandle added 13 points with four rebounds, three steals and two assists, while Dani Revon chipped in with 10 points, seven rebounds, six steals and two assists.

Salmen drops

a close one

Salmen’s Lady Spartans suffered a 34-33 defeat to the Cabrini Crescents in a district road game Tuesday. Salmen (7-15) is 4-6 in district.

The Lady Spartans had a chance to win it. They missed a layup with 10-seconds left, grabbed the offensive rebound, but the put back rolled off the rim.

Christy Ducre scored 13 points, while Jade Johnson posted nine.

Pope John Paul II loses to Doyle

Pope John Paul II’s Lady Jaguars lost to Doyle 47-32 in a district road game held Tuesday. PJP (6-16) is 1-10 in district.

Nicole Saucier scored 10 points to go with two assists, two steals and two blocks.

Christa Roscigno tallied eight points, six rebounds and two steals. Ashley Allen recorded seven points, five rebounds, five steals and two assists.

PJP was hurt at the free-throw line, hitting just 9-of-26.

Kentwood

downs Hannan

Kentwood eased past the Archbishop Hannan Lady Hawks 49-25 in a district road victory Tuesday. Hannan senior guard Kimmy Kirsch topped the Lady Hawks with 18. Kentwood led 26-11 at the half. Kentwood increased its lead to 40-16 at the end of three quarters outscoring the Lady Hawks 14-5 in the third.

Pope John Paul II falls to Doyle

Pope John Paul II suffered a 62-34 loss against Doyle in a game held Monday at PJP. The contest was a make up from Jan. 8.

Christa Roscigno scored 11 points, while grabbing five rebounds and blocking a shot. Ashley Allen posted eight points, six steals, four boards and three assists.
