“We have a situation where citizens are taking responsibility and calling in tips about suspected drug activity in their neighborhood and we are very grateful and happy about that,” Palmisano said.
Complaints were lodged and an investigation began two to three weeks ago which lead to the arrest of Bobby Edward Barney Sr., 44, 918 W. 31st Ave. Covington on the charges of possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics (crack cocaine); violation of a drug free zone; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Palmisano said the average rock of cocaine is about 1 gram, equally to about one hit for an average user.
