Alexandra Kay Weller of Nashville, Tenn., and Frederick Louis Drake of Denham Springs were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at Munholland United Methodist Church in Metairie.

Officiating was the Rev. Shawn Anglim.

Dressed in a white Mori Lee gown, the bride carried a New Testament brought from Jerusalem by her mother and grandparents. Her bouquet featured white and green orchids, hydrangea and roses.

Suzanne Beth Weller of Slidell was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christiana Johns of Chicago, Rachel Langkopp of Destrehan, Haley Kay Rush of Knoxville, Tenn., and Kristi Craig of Conroe, Texas. Reader was Lauren Mire of Metairie.

Josh Menier of Gretna was best man. Groomsmen were David Jones of Baton Rouge, Richard Rogers of Destrehan, Daniel Britt of Denham Springs and T.J. Zimmerman of Huntsville, Ala. Ushers were Bill Burke, David Buco and Chris Duensing.

A post-ceremony reception rocked Rosy’s Jazz Hall in New Orleans. With music by Vieux Carre’ Band, the couple led a second-line parade holding LSU and Saints umbrellas. The maid of honor, bridesmaids, and sister of the groom, Elizabeth Crawford-Drake, all received cake pulls.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Randall Weller of Slidell She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. Leroy Gunnerson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stuart Weller.

She is an RN pursuing her nurse practitioner certification in adult mental health at Vanderbilt.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Driver Drake Jr. of Denham Springs. He is the grandson of Margarine S.C. Smith, the late Nathan Crawford, Sr., the late Fred E. Smith Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William D. Drake Sr.

The groom will graduate in May from LSU in chemical engineering.

The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.�
