Rita Souza Furr, 86, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Thomas Furr; mother of the late Frank Thomas Furr Jr.; sister of Raymond R. Souza, Kenneth Trottier and Margaret Mary Johnson and sister-in-law of Louella Brown. She will be missed by her special family, Jill, Carley, Jacob and Paul Nelson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was a native of Hawaii and a resident of Abita Springs for the past 14 years.

The funeral service was held yesterday at from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington. Interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, LA 70433. Sign guest book online at www.ejfieldingfh.com.
