Topics covered will be reasons people talk to counselors, ideas for a relationship check-up, and what we know about making relationships last.

No reservations are needed. Just show your receipt for a Sweet Peppers lunch and join the group in the meeting room.

For information, directions, or to sign up in advance, call Foley at 985-774-3252, or email your information or questions to flnash@bellsouth.net. He will be at the restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for Q & A before and after the event.

Charlie, a member of A.A., had a slip and took a drink. Later when the dust cleared, his sponsor confronted him: “What made you pick up that first drink?”

Charlie replied, “I had a sign from my Higher Power that it would be OK.”

“A sign from your Higher Power? What kind of sign was that?”

“Well, I was driving through town and realized that my favorite tavern was just ahead. I asked my Higher Power that if it was OK for me to take a drink, to let there be a parking space right in front of the door.”

“And what happened?”

“There was a parking space, right by the front door. I found it on my eighth trip around the block.”
