MHS’ Bradley nabs third individual medalist honor

Mandeville High’s Elise Bradley captured her third consecutive individual medalist honor in the Northshore Golf League Monday at Oak Knoll Country Club in Hammond carding an 83 downing Northshore High’s Bridget Landry (92) by nine strokes. St. Scholastica Academy’s Monica Caire (101) was third followed by teammates Lauren Barattini (107) and Sara Kilgore (108). Northshore’s Kristen VandeVoorde (116) took sixth followed by Fontainebleau’s Jennifer Exley (117), SSA’s Alyssa Arceneaux (124), MHS’ Rachel Cole (126), Hammond’s Brittney Watts (128) and SSA’s Margaret Day (129).

SSA (208) earned the team title edging both MHS and NHS by just one stroke. SSA leads the team race (414) with Mandeville (421) second followed by Northshore (435) after three weeks of play.

In the boys’ competition, Hammond’s Kenno Jackson took the individual medalist honor with a two-over par 74 followed by St. Paul’s Jeremy Kratzberg (77) and Mandeville’s Evans Haile (78). St. Paul’s Kiff Myrtle (79) came in fourth followed by NHS’ Alex Black and SPS’ Brandon Pierce (80). St. Paul’s Jonah Johnson (82) came in seventh followed by FHS’ John Griffitt (84), FHS’ Matt Moseley (85) and MHS’ Jordan Cardwell (86) in tenth place. Other top 20 finishers included: SPS’ Quentin Munn (87) followed by Slidell’s Jordan Granier, Ponchatoula’s Nick Lemoine, FHS’ Conner Smith and SHS’ Garrett Tranchina (89), MHS’ Colt Richmond (91), FHS’ Ryan Tromatore and PHS’ Matt Hampton (92), NHS’ Gus Schroeder (93) and FHS’ Joseph Naquin and PHS’ Richie Tallo (96).

St. Paul’s earned the team title in dominant fashion recording a 318 total outdistancing Fontainebleau (350), Mandeville (355), Northshore (370), Slidell (381), Ponchatoula (378) and Covington (404).

St. Paul’s is the runaway leader in the team competition after three weeks with a team score of 648 holding a 50-stroke advantage over Fontainebleau (698) followed by Mandeville (722), Northshore (735), Slidell and Ponchatoula (749) and Covington (839).
