Covington police need help identifying suspects

Two separate robberies in Covington have police asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects caught on store camera videos.

The first robbery was of a pharmacy.

Covington Police Department spokesperson Capt. Jack West said that the subject may be in the possession of a large quantity of cigarettes. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call Det. James Blackwell at 892-8500.

The second robbery involved two suspects who allegedly stole a large amount of money from a tobacco discount store in Covington. Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Det. Robert Blount ay 892-8500.

West said that due to the large number of false leads being received in the two cases, no details of the robberies, including when the crimes were committed and where the stores are located or their names is being released at this time.
