Brandie Rae Fairburn of Covington and Clinton Levi Morgan of Franklinton announce their engagement and approaching marriage. The couple will exchange vows Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at 4 o’clock in the evening at New Zion Baptist Church in Covington, with the Rev. Gene Richards officiating. A reception will follow at Franklinton Country Club. Family and friends are invited to share in this day.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Wanda Loyd Fairburn of Covington and the late Donald Fairburn. The bridegroom is the son of Lynn and David Lowery of Franklinton and Roger Morgan of Franklinton.

Fairburn is a 2000 graduate of Covington High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2004. She will graduate this December with her master’s degree in business administration from SLU. She is employed at Resource Bank in Covington as a staff accountant.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Loyd of Covington, Evelyn Crawford of Denham Springs, the late Bobby Fairburn and the late Sonny Crawford.

Morgan is a 1999 graduate of Franklinton High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English education from SLU in 2009. He is a former U.S. Marine and Master of Covington Masonic Lodge No. 188. He is an English and history teacher at Franklinton High School.

He is the grandson of Eva Nell Bankston and the late Tommy Bankston and Ruth Morgan and the late Clayton Morgan, all of Franklinton.

Following a honeymoon in Hot Springs, Ark., the couple will reside in Franklinton.
