Northlake Christian School’s Lady Wolverines went 3-1 in the Episcopal School of Acadiana Spooktacular held in Lafayette Oct. 30-31. NCS dropped its first game to Notre Dame 25-12, 25-22 on Friday. Hannah Miranda netted eight assists with five digs, four kills and an ace. Monica Raymond delivered four kills, four digs and an ace, while Emily Miller contributed six digs and one kill.

St. Paul’s (8-1) got an outstanding performance from sophomore fullback Dylan Long, who rushed for 142 yards on 20 carries with three TDs on runs of 2, 21 and 4 yards to propel the Wolves to a convincing 20-3 district victory over the Covington Lions at Hunter Stadium.

Fontainebleau outduels SSA in classic battle
Fontainebleau’s Lady Bulldogs (41-2) outlasted the St. Scholastica Academy Doves 20-25, 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 17-15 in a district finale thriller Thursday at SSA. With the victory, the Lady Dawgs capped off their second consecutive unbeaten district title going 12-0. FHS went 14-0 to capture last year’s title.
